The dress that comes from a traditional dance

The Chiapaneca dance is a traditional dance from Chiapas Mexico which combines a traditional melody with a folkloric dance. The female dancers wear one of the versions of the Chiapaneca dress, the red version.

This dance was created in 1935 when a group of dancers from Chiapas represented their state traditional music at a national festival. Since then, the dress, the music and the dance were stablished as the cultural symbols of the Chiapas region because of their originality and their richness.

This dance represent the rich and varied culture inside Mexico!
